Education & Literacy
Rural government primary schools in Nepal are under resourced and teachers need better training.
Resolve International provides training for teachers and supplies them with teaching resources. We also help by creating libraries, making books available to everyone in the community. This encourages participation in literacy learning, assisting adult men and women to learn basic skills, as well as the children.
‘More than 50,000 children die in Nepal each year, with malnutrition as the underlying cause for more than 60 per cent of these deaths.’ UNICEF.
‘Water supply, sanitation and hygiene, given their direct impact on infectious disease, especially diarrhoea, are important for preventing malnutrition. Both malnutrition and inadequate water supply and sanitation are linked to poverty.’ – World Health Organization.
Resolve International is working to supply clean spring water to small rural communities.
Toilets & Sanitation
Resolve International provides hygiene training to families, schools and women’s groups.
Since 2006, we have worked with families, schools and women’s groups to construct toilet facilities.
We provide hygiene awareness training, encouraging good hygiene practices within families and this is improving the health of everyone in the community.
