Construction of catchment tank, pipelines and storage tanks for clean water projects
Nepal has abundant water supplies, but unfortunately water sources are often located some distance away from where people live.
We discovered that women and children in rural Nepal can spend up to three hours every day just collecting water for drinking and cooking.
Communities of less than twenty five households do not qualify for government backed schemes to supply water.
Six small communities and a primary school have been identified for our next phase of water delivery. The project includes identifying a clean spring high in the hills, constructing a catchment tank, pipelines and storage tanks. Each village will receive several washing stations, where water can be collected and where people and clothes can be washed.
Resolve International focuses on small communities in the hills of Baglung District which have no direct water supply. So far we have provided water for 1,233 people in small rural communities.
